My friend Quinten stepped by and since he owns a Nissan Leaf this was the perfect opportunity to really test my openEVSE. We set the amps to 16 and plugged in the Nissan:

It works!! The Leaf is charging from my homebuild openEVSE.. Awesome.
We decided to push it some more and upped the amps to 48, and plugged in the Nissan again..
Also works!! well.. for 30 seconds that is.. then the fuse blew..
Turns out the Nissan Leaf charges at 32A on one phase.. and since I installed a 16A fuse, this will not work.
I tried to research the Model 3, and I think it has a 3 phase charger.. so that should work, but I'm not totally sure.
